WINCHESTER MODEL 71 DELUXE CARBINE 348 WIN

A classic North American big-woods rifle — Winchester Model 71 Deluxe Carbine chambered in .348 Winchester, manufactured in 1952, during the later years of production of this highly regarded lever-action.

This example features the desirable 20" carbine barrel with hooded front sight, paired with a Redfield receiver peep sight, providing a quick and highly effective sighting arrangement for hunting in heavy cover. The rear barrel sight has been replaced with a blank, leaving the receiver sight as the primary aiming system.

The rifle retains several desirable Deluxe features including the long tang receiver, capped pistol grip stock, sling swivel studs, and steel butt plate, giving it both classic styling and practical field utility.

Weighing 7 lbs 14 oz, the Model 71 remains well balanced and extremely capable for woods hunting. Length of pull measures 13 5/16 inches, maintaining the traditional Winchester sporting dimensions of the period.

Condition remains very good to excellent, showing some honest handling to the wood and metal surfaces consistent with careful use over time.

The Model 71 represents one of Winchester’s strongest and most respected lever-action hunting rifles, designed specifically around the powerful .348 Winchester cartridge, making it a favorite for elk, moose, and other large North American game.
