A rare configuration from the golden era of New Haven production, this Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in 7mm Mauser is a special-order example completed in 1953—a standout chambering and setup for the serious Model 70 collector. The rifle retains its classic 22" barrel with factory sights, paired with hallmark Featherweight features including the hollow bolt, aluminum floorplate, and aluminum butt, all contributing to its trim, responsive feel.

The Monte Carlo stock remains crisp and well-shaped, offering excellent cheek weld while keeping the rifle light and fast in the hand. Sling studs complete the period-correct configuration.

Importantly, this rifle remains in very fine original condition, showing only minimal handling to the wood and metal, entirely consistent with careful use, proper storage, and its age. At 6 lbs 14 oz with a 13 5/8" LOP, it carries exactly as a Pre-64 Featherweight should—light, lively, and unmistakably Winchester.
