A handsome example of Winchester’s pre-war rimfire craftsmanship, this Winchester Model 61, manufactured in 1941, is chambered in .22 Long Rifle and fitted with the highly desirable 24" octagon barrel—a configuration prized for both balance and classic appearance.
The rifle retains its correct Winchester butt plate and the clean, streamlined lines that made the Model 61 one of the finest pump-action rimfires ever produced. Condition is excellent, showing only light handling to the wood and metal consistent with careful use and proper storage. Metal finish remains strong, and the wood presents cleanly with well-defined edges.
Weighing 6 lbs 2 oz, it has the solid, steady feel expected of an octagon-barreled Model 61 while maintaining smooth, quick handling.
A sharp, well-preserved pre-war Model 61 in a classic configuration—an excellent example for the Winchester collector or rimfire enthusiast alike.
