Distributed by Lew Horton in 1998, this Smith & Wesson Model 610-2 is a scarce and highly desirable N-frame revolver chambered in 10mm Auto, combining big-frame strength with the versatility and speed that moon-clip revolvers are known for. The 610 series has earned a strong following among shooters and collectors alike, valued for its accuracy, durability, and unique position as one of the finest modern 10mm revolvers ever produced.
This example is the sought-after 3" configuration, with a ramped front sight and adjustable rear sight, offering a compact, practical package while retaining full N-frame authority. It features an unfluted cylinder and round butt frame, enhancing both balance and carry comfort, and is fitted with handsome Goncalo Alves rosewood grips, adding a premium touch consistent with Horton-distributed special runs.
Notably, only 300 were made in this configuration, adding legitimate scarcity to an already collectible model. Condition is excellent, like new, showing only very light handling marks consistent with careful storage.
A rare and correct Lew Horton–distributed S&W 610-2—compact, powerful, and exceptionally well-executed—equally appealing as a collector-grade revolver or a high-performance shooter for the serious N-frame enthusiast.
