SMITH & WESSON MODEL 37 CHIEFS SPECIAL AIRWEIGHT 38 SPECIAL

A classic lightweight defensive revolver — Smith & Wesson Model 37 Chief’s Special Airweight, chambered in .38 Special.

Built on Smith & Wesson’s compact J-frame with an aluminum alloy Airweight frame, the Model 37 was designed to provide the handling of the Chief’s Special with significantly reduced carry weight. This example features the standard 1⅞" barrel marked “Airweight”, making it an ideal compact revolver for discreet carry.

The revolver retains its blue finish and factory wood grips, maintaining the traditional appearance of early Airweight models. Condition remains excellent, showing only light handling. (Any bright areas visible in photos are glare rather than finish wear.)

This revolver is offered without box, but remains a very clean example of one of Smith & Wesson’s most enduring compact defensive revolvers.

The Model 37 became one of the most widely carried lightweight revolvers of the post-war era, valued for its simplicity, reliability, and easy portability.

A well-preserved Chief’s Special Airweight, representing a classic American concealed-carry revolver design that has remained relevant for decades.
