Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 .44 Magnum | 6 1/2" Barrel | Circa 1973

A classic Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 .44 Magnum, manufactured circa 1973 and retaining the desirable features associated with this highly collectible period of Model 29 production.

The revolver is fitted with a 6 1/2" pinned barrel, adjustable rear sight, and ramped front sight, along with checkered Goncalo Alves target grips. The 6 1/2" configuration is one of the most recognizable and sought-after versions of Smith & Wesson's flagship .44 Magnum.

Condition remains excellent with only very light handling. There is a slight cylinder drag line, but otherwise the revolver presents as a particularly well-preserved example.

Included is the wooden Smith & Wesson presentation case, although the original interior lining is absent. The cleaning kit and screwdriver are also present.

The Model 29-2 represents one of the most desirable eras of Model 29 production, combining the classic pinned-barrel configuration, traditional Smith & Wesson craftsmanship, and Goncalo Alves target stocks. With its 6 1/2" barrel, excellent condition, and accompanying presentation case and accessories, this is a strong example for the serious Smith & Wesson collector.
