SEMPERT & KRIEGHOFF – HAMMER STALKING RIFLE 8X57 JR

A superb example of classic German stalking-rifle craftsmanship, this Sempert & Krieghoff hammer stalking rifle embodies Old World elegance and mechanical ingenuity. Stocked to the muzzle and fitted with a 21½" octagon barrel and full-length rib, the rifle has the unmistakable profile and balance prized by continental hunters.

The action is both distinctive and deliberate: the front trigger drops the falling block, while the external hammer is cocked to fire, offering absolute control and visual confirmation of the rifle’s status—hallmarks of traditional stalking arms. The case-colored trap-door buttplate, complete with an original cleaning rod, underscores the rifle’s period correctness and attention to detail.

Chambered in 8x57 JR, a classic and effective European hunting cartridge, the rifle weighs 8 lbs 9 oz, giving it steady, composed handling in the field. Stock dimensions are practical and well-proportioned with a 13¾" LOP.

Condition remains excellent, making this an exceptional opportunity for the collector or traditional hunter seeking a genuine German stalking rifle with character, history, and unmistakable presence.
