SEARCY & CO – BEST DOUBLE RIFLE 470 NITRO LEE GRIFFITHS ENGRAVED

A serious dangerous-game rifle built by one of America’s premier modern double-rifle makers, this Searcy & Co Best Double Rifle in .470 Nitro Express combines robust engineering, classic proportions, and refined engraving into a fully capable, Africa-ready package.

The rifle is fitted with 24" barrels and open sights, regulated for the authoritative .470 Nitro Express cartridge—long regarded as one of the gold standards for stopping rifles. Configuration includes double triggers, automatic ejectors, a beavertail forearm, and a pistol grip, providing both control and familiarity under pressure.

Tasteful engraving by Lee Griffiths elevates the rifle beyond purely utilitarian, adding depth and craftsmanship without detracting from its purposeful nature. Balance is excellent at 9 lbs 10 oz, squarely in the sweet spot for recoil management and fast second shots. A 14½" LOP gives the rifle proper proportions for field use.

Condition is excellent, showing only light, honest wear consistent with careful handling rather than abuse.
