SAKO RIIHIMAKI CUSTOM 222 REM

A classic varmint and target rifle built on one of the finest small actions ever produced — Sako Riihimäki chambered in .222 Remington, fitted with a custom heavy barrel for enhanced accuracy.

This rifle features a 24" Douglas bull barrel installed by E.A. Lander Arms Co., a respected choice for precision rifle work. The heavier contour provides excellent stability and heat management, making the rifle well suited for varmint shooting or extended range sessions.

Optics are provided by a Lyman All American 4X scope, a period-correct American optic known for its clarity and rugged construction. The rifle is stocked in a traditional sporter configuration with capped pistol grip, cheek piece, and steel butt plate, maintaining the elegant European lines typical of the Riihimäki rifles. The stock is also drilled for sling swivel studs.

Weighing 10 lbs 1 oz, the rifle carries substantial weight for steady bench or field shooting, and the stock measures 13½" length of pull.

Condition remains great, showing light handling from careful use and storage.

A nicely executed custom Sako Riihimäki .222, combining the legendary accuracy of the cartridge with a Douglas heavy barrel and classic sporting styling — an excellent choice for the varmint shooter or collector of early Sako rifles.
