A classic English sporting boxlock, this Rowland Watson Boxlock 12 Gauge offers desirable long barrels, light weight, and traditional proportions in an honest, shootable configuration.
The gun is fitted with 30" solid rib barrels choked Skeet and Skeet (.003/.009) with 2¾" chambers, and retains minimum wall thicknesses of .021 and .022, reflecting careful barrel preservation. It is proofed for 2½", consistent with its period. Features include double triggers, extractors, a splinter forearm, pistol grip stock, and butt plate, all in keeping with classic British field-gun form.
Condition is good, with light handling evident from storage and use, presenting as an honest English gun rather than an over-restored example. Weighing just 6 lbs 8 oz, with dimensions of 2⅛" DAH, 1½" DAC, and a 14⅝" LOP, it handles quickly and balances exceptionally well—ideal traits for a driven or walked-up gun.
