RIGBY HIGHLAND STALKER 30-06 GRADE 5 WITH GOLD SHEEP FLOOR PLATE

A modern expression of a classic British stalking rifle, this Rigby Highland Stalker Grade 5 in .30-06 blends traditional styling with contemporary precision.

Built in 2017 (SN# 14XXX), it features a 22" barrel fitted with a hooded front sight and a classic island rear with one fixed and two folding leaves regulated at 65, 150, and 250 yards—a practical and elegant sighting arrangement for real-world hunting. The rifle is equipped with EAW scope bases, allowing for quick-detach optic mounting while preserving the clean lines of the iron-sighted stalking rifle.

The highlight of this example is its case-colored floorplate adorned with a gold sheep inlay, elevating the Grade 5 specification with a distinctly sporting aesthetic. A well-proportioned stock fitted with a recoil pad provides both comfort and proper balance, coming in at 8 lbs 3 oz with a generous 14 3/4" length of pull.

Condition remains excellent, near new. The rifle shows only the faintest evidence of handling, and by all appearances has not been afield. Metal and wood are exceptionally well preserved, reflecting careful storage rather than use.

An elegant, modern Rigby—refined enough for the Highlands, fully capable for any North American or international plains game hunt, and strikingly finished with the gold sheep floorplate accent.
