Remington Nylon 66 Mohawk Brown .22 LR with Factory Box | Made 1988
A particularly clean Remington Nylon 66 Mohawk Brown .22 LR, manufactured in 1988 and remaining in excellent, near-new condition.
Introduced in 1959, the Nylon 66 was a groundbreaking design for Remington, using a DuPont Zytel nylon stock and receiver structure at a time when wood-and-steel construction dominated the rifle market. The lightweight and extremely dependable design proved highly successful, with the Mohawk Brown being the original and most popular configuration.
This example features a 19 1/2" barrel with factory sights, Mohawk Brown stock, and a Weaver 3-6x scope.
The rifle remains in excellent, near-new condition, showing only very light handling. It weighs just 4 lbs. 2 oz. and has a 13 5/8" LOP.
Most importantly for the collector, this example is accompanied by its factory box, a desirable addition to an already exceptionally clean Nylon 66.
An excellent example of one of Remington's most recognizable and innovative rimfire rifles.
