Parker SC Single Barrel Trap 12 Gauge | Made 1936
A classic Parker Brothers SC Single Barrel Trap, manufactured in 1936 and representing Parker's contribution to the golden age of American trapshooting.
The gun is fitted with a 30" vent rib barrel choked Full (.033 constriction) with a 2 3/4" chamber, a traditional trap configuration designed for long-yardage targets and competitive shooting.
Features include a single trigger, ejector, beavertail forearm, pistol grip stock, and recoil pad, all contributing to the handling characteristics expected of a dedicated target gun from the period.
The gun remains in excellent condition since restoration, showing only minimal handling from storage and careful use. It presents as a clean and attractive example that is ready for continued enjoyment.
Weight is 7 lbs. 13 oz., with stock dimensions of 2" DAH, 1 11/16" DAC, and 14 3/4" LOP.
By the mid-1930s, Parker trap guns had earned a reputation among competitive shooters for reliability, handling, and durability. This example reflects that heritage while benefiting from restoration work that allows it to be appreciated without the condition concerns often associated with heavily used target guns.
A desirable pre-war Parker trap gun that combines classic American target-gun styling with a configuration that remains as functional today as when it left the factory.
