Parker Grade O Hammer Gun 12 Gauge | Made 1887

An original Parker Brothers Grade O hammer gun, manufactured in 1887 and retaining many of the features associated with Parker production during the black powder era.

Built on a No. 1 frame, the gun is fitted with 30" Stub Twist barrels choked Full and Full (.029 and .039 constrictions) with 2 1/2" chambers. Barrel flats bear the "T" marking, consistent with Stub Twist barreled Grade O guns of this period.

Notable features include the desirable fish-tail top lever, double triggers, extractor, splinter forearm, capped pistol grip stock, and dog's head butt, all characteristic of late 19th-century Parker hammer gun production.

The gun remains in excellent original condition with some handling to wood and metal finishes, presenting as an honest and well-preserved example. Originality is increasingly difficult to find in Parker hammer guns approaching 140 years of age, making condition a significant attribute of this piece.

Weight is 7 lbs. 10 oz., with stock dimensions of 3 1/16" DAH, 1 13/16" DAC, and 14 1/4" LOP.

A well-preserved Parker hammer gun from the black powder era, combining desirable early features, documented Grade O configuration, and the originality that advanced Parker collectors continue to value.
