Luigi Franchi Imperial Monte Carlo 12 Gauge | Made 1953

A fine Luigi Franchi Imperial Monte Carlo 12 gauge, manufactured in 1953 and configured as a traditional lightweight European game gun.

The 27 5/8" solid rib barrels have 2 3/4" chambers and are choked Modified and Full, measuring .018 and .034 constrictions. Of note, the choke constriction begins approximately 3 1/4" from the muzzle, providing a relatively long choke profile.

The gun is fitted with double triggers, including an articulated front trigger, along with ejectors and a non-automatic safety. Furniture consists of a splinter forearm, straight English grip, and recoil pad.

The Imperial Monte Carlo remains in excellent condition, showing only light handling from careful use and storage. At an even 7 lbs., the gun has the proportions and configuration expected of a quality postwar Continental side-by-side.

Stock dimensions measure 2 1/8" DAH, 1 3/8" DAC, and 14 3/4" LOP.

With its 1953 production, Imperial Monte Carlo configuration, articulated front trigger, ejectors, English grip, and 27 5/8" barrels, this is an appealing example of Franchi's higher-grade postwar sporting guns.
