L.C. SMITH FIELD GRADE EJECTOR 16 GAUGE

L.C. Smith Field Grade Ejector 16 Gauge | Made 1950

A well-preserved L.C. Smith Field Grade 16 gauge, manufactured in 1950 and retaining its original wood finish and receiver case colors. The addition of factory-style ejector configuration makes this a particularly appealing example of the post-war Field Grade.

The gun is fitted with 28" solid rib barrels, both choked Improved Modified (.024 and .026 constrictions). The barrel flats are stamped for 2 3/4" chambers, and the chambers measure a corresponding 2 3/4".

Features include double triggers, ejectors, splinter forearm, pistol grip stock, and butt plate—a classic L.C. Smith field configuration with the added convenience of automatic ejectors.

The gun remains in excellent condition with some light handling to the wood and metal finishes. Importantly, the wood finish and case colors remain original, giving the gun the honest appearance and preservation increasingly valued on post-war Smiths.

Weight is 6 lbs. 15 oz., with stock dimensions of 2 9/16" DAH, 1 1/2" DAC, and 14 5/16" LOP.

Original-condition 16 gauge L.C. Smiths with ejectors have considerable appeal as both collectible American doubles and practical field guns. With its 28" barrels, documented 2 3/4" chambers, ejectors, and strong original finish, this is a particularly clean example from the final years of L.C. Smith production.
