JOSEF WINKLER SIDELOCK STALKING RIFLE 22 HORNET

A beautifully executed Alpine stalking rifle — Josef Winkler Sidelock Rifle chambered in .22 Hornet, manufactured in 1977, representing the refined Central European tradition of light, precise sporting rifles.

This rifle is fitted with a distinctive 26" half-octagon / half-round barrel equipped with express sights consisting of one standing and one folding rear leaf with a ramped front sight, giving the rifle both traditional styling and practical field capability. Optics are provided by a Swarovski Habicht 4x scope with German post reticle, mounted in classic claw mounts, allowing the scope to be quickly removed while retaining zero.

The rifle features double set triggers, providing the option of a light precision trigger for deliberate shooting. The stock is configured with a schnabel forearm, cheekpiece, sling swivel studs, engraved pistol grip cap, and engraved steel butt plate, maintaining the elegant continental stalking rifle profile.

Weighing 6 lbs 1 oz without the scope and 7 lbs 1 oz with the scope, the rifle is exceptionally light and well balanced for field carry. Length of pull measures 14½ inches.

Condition remains excellent, showing only minimal handling to the wood and metal finishes from careful use and storage.

A refined Austrian stalking rifle in .22 Hornet, combining sidelock construction, traditional European styling, and the precision optics of Swarovski — an elegant and practical small-game or roe deer rifle.
