FRANCOTTE VL&D MODEL 14E 20 GAUGE

A lively small-bore game gun — Auguste Francotte Model 14E 20 Gauge, imported by Von Lengerke & Detmold.

This lightweight Belgian double is fitted with 26" solid rib barrels choked Improved Cylinder and Modified (.005 / .023) with 2½" chambers, a very practical arrangement for upland shooting. The gun carries the traditional configuration of double triggers, ejectors, splinter forearm, and pistol grip, giving it the quick handling and responsive feel typical of pre-war European game guns.

Weighing just 5 lbs 2 oz, it is exceptionally lively in the hands and well suited for long days in the field. The receiver retains excellent case colors, while the barrels show some blue wear consistent with use, giving the gun honest character without affecting its mechanical integrity.

Stock dimensions measure 2 7/16" drop at heel, 1 9/16" drop at comb, with a 12 7/8" length of pull (12 1/8" to the end of the wood) due to the recoil pad.

Overall condition is good, showing light handling and use while remaining mechanically sound.

A very light and responsive Francotte 20 bore imported by VL&D — an appealing upland gun with classic Belgian craftsmanship and excellent field handling.
