FRANCOTTE VL&D MODEL 14E 12 GAUGE

A well-made Belgian sporting gun from one of the most respected Liège makers, this Francotte V.L. & D. Model 14E offers the smooth mechanics and confident feel that have long defined the better Continental doubles. Francotte guns are widely appreciated for their durability, clean execution, and practical field configurations—serious shotguns built to be shot.

This example is fitted with 30" solid rib barrels with 2¾" chambers and measured choke constrictions of .020 and .032 (Modified/Full), a classic setup for driven birds, longer-range shooting, or traditional game loads. It is equipped with double triggers and automatic ejectors, along with a splinter forearm and English grip, maintaining a refined and distinctly sporting layout. A butt plate is fitted, preserving a clean, traditional profile.

Weighing 7 lbs 8 oz, the gun has a steady, deliberate balance appropriate to its 30" barrel configuration, with smooth follow-through and a comfortable feel in the hands. Stock dimensions measure 14 1/8" length of pull, 2 3/8" drop at heel, and 1½" drop at comb, offering classic field proportions.

Condition is very good, showing some handling marks consistent with storage and normal use, and presenting as an honest, well-cared-for Francotte that remains fully suitable for continued sporting use.

A solid and properly configured Francotte Model 14E—long-barreled, well-choked, and classically appointed—ideal for the shooter who appreciates Belgian quality in a traditional game-gun format.
