An exceptional and documented example of one of Belgium’s finest sporting shotguns, this Francotte 45E Eagle Grade represents the pinnacle of pre-war continental gunmaking. This is the only known 32" Eagle Grade example, catalogued by Bob Beach at Griffin & Howe, complete with backup research and supporting documentation—a true one-off in the Francotte canon.
Built on the celebrated Model 45E action, the gun is fitted with 32" solid rib barrels choked .015 and .026, offering both elegance and serious field utility. Imported by Von Lengerke & Detmold, it reflects the very best guns VL&D selected for the American market.
Configured with double triggers, ejectors, a splinter forearm, and pistol grip, the gun balances beautifully at 8 lbs 2 oz, with dimensions well suited for driven birds or live-pigeon style shooting. The leather-covered recoil pad complements the period-correct presentation without detracting from originality.
Condition is excellent, with nothing to detract from its rarity, presence, or mechanical integrity.
