ED LAPOUR CUSTOM DEFINACE 7MM REM MAG

This rifle is about precision without apology—modern components selected for performance, then finished with the kind of restraint that lets the work speak for itself.

Built by Ed LaPour, this custom 7mm Remington Magnum is centered on a Defiance Machine Lightweight Rogue serrated action, chosen for strength, consistency, and weight discipline. The 22" Bartlein lightweight barrel—from Bartlein Barrels—is free-floated and paired with a Rifles Inc. muzzle brake, keeping recoil flat and follow-up shots composed.

Optics are handled by a Leupold VX-6HD 3–18×44, mounted over a TriggerTech Diamond trigger set at a crisp 3 lbs, and backed by Sunny Hill floorplate and trigger guard hardware—details that matter when tolerances are tight and expectations higher.

Where this rifle separates itself is the stock: exhibition-grade walnut, cleanly inletted with sling swivel studs, a scalloped steel grip cap, recoil pad, and a black Cerakote metal finish that keeps glare down and durability up without stealing attention from the wood.

Condition is like new, showing only the faintest evidence of handling from storage. Weight comes in at approximately 7 lbs 14 oz without the scope and 8 lbs 14 oz with optics, with a 14 5/16" LOP—a balanced, shootable package that favors real-world use over bench-only bravado.

This is a modern custom done right: disciplined component choices, serious execution, and no wasted motion—built to be trusted when the shot actually matters.
