DUANE WIEBE CUSTOM ARGENTINE MAUSER 375 H&H

A classic safari rifle built by one of America’s most respected custom gunmakers, this Duane Wiebe .375 H&H is executed on the legendary 1909 Argentine Mauser action, long prized for its strength, smoothness, and ideal geometry for dangerous-game cartridges.

The rifle is fitted with a 25" Lilja barrel with a quarter rib, regulated with one standing and one folding leaf (100 & 200 yards), and a hooded front sight—a traditional and highly effective iron-sight setup. A detachable muzzle brake with a flush-mounted thread protector provides versatility without compromising clean lines. Optics are handled by a Leupold VX-III 1.5–5x20, a proven, lightweight scope perfectly matched to the .375 H&H.

Tasteful safari details include an ebony forearm tip, four-panel checkered bolt, cheekpiece, barrel-band front sling swivel, and an inletted rear sling stud, all executed with Wiebe’s characteristic restraint and precision. The rifle balances exceptionally well, weighing 9 lbs 1 oz, making it comfortable for both offhand shooting and extended carry.

Condition is very good to excellent, showing only very light handling marks consistent with careful storage and limited use. With a 13¾" LOP, this rifle is properly proportioned and immediately ready for the field.

A correct, no-nonsense .375 H&H safari rifle—built by Duane Wiebe on the right action, with the right components, and the right details—equally suited for Africa or a serious custom-rifle collection.
