COLT WORLD WAR COMMEMORATIVE SIX GUN SET MODEL 1911 45 ACP

Colt World War Commemorative Six-Gun Set | Model 1911 .45 ACP

An impressive and increasingly difficult-to-find complete six-gun Colt's Manufacturing Company World War Commemorative Set, consisting of six Model 1911 pistols issued between 1967 and 1970 to commemorate significant American engagements of the First and Second World Wars.

The set includes:

1967 Chateau Thierry
1968 Belleau Wood
1969 Second Battle of the Marne
1969 Meuse-Argonne
1970 European Theater
1970 Pacific Theater

Each pistol remains in excellent condition and is accompanied by its original display case. In addition, five of the six pistols retain their original outer cardboard boxes, with the Chateau Thierry example being the only pistol not accompanied by its cardboard outer box.

Commemorative Colt sets have long attracted collectors due to their historical themes, limited production, and factory presentation. Complete multi-gun groupings are encountered far less frequently than individual examples, particularly when accompanied by their original display cases and packaging.

This offering represents an opportunity to acquire the entire World War Commemorative series as a single collection rather than attempting to assemble the set one pistol at a time.

A substantial Colt commemorative grouping with strong display appeal, historical significance, and the completeness that advanced Colt collectors value.
