A classic rimfire training pistol from Colt’s post-war lineup — Colt Service Model Ace, manufactured in 1981, built to replicate the handling and controls of the Government Model 1911 in an economical .22 LR platform.

This example features the standard 5" barrel with adjustable rear sight, maintaining the familiar sight picture and balance of the service pistol it was designed to emulate. Finished in Colt’s polished blue, the pistol remains in excellent condition, showing minimal evidence of handling or use.

The pistol is currently fitted with ivory-style grips (one grip screw missing) and is accompanied by a set of original walnut grips. It includes one magazine, the Colt manual, and the factory box, though the box is missing one end flap.

The Service Model Ace is widely regarded as one of the finest .22 LR 1911-style pistols ever produced, offering excellent accuracy and the distinctive feel of a true Colt Government Model.

An attractive example of Colt’s rimfire classic — desirable both as a shooter and for collectors of late-production Colt pistols.
