COLT FRONTIER SCOUT LAWMAN SERIES, WILD BILL HICKOK 22 LR

A classic Colt commemorative from the height of the company’s 1970s special-issue program, this Colt Frontier Scout “Lawman Series – Wild Bill Hickok” in .22 LR represents Colt’s tribute to one of the most legendary figures of the American frontier.

The revolver is fitted with a 6" barrel and finished in a striking blue and nickel combination, complemented by factory mother-of-pearl grips. As part of Colt’s Lawman Series, this model was produced as a limited commemorative release and sold as a complete presentation, intended more for display and collection than hard use.

This example remains in excellent condition and is accompanied by its display case and original pamphlet, completing the factory presentation.

About the release:
The Wild Bill Hickok Frontier Scout was introduced during Colt’s 1970s commemorative era, when the company produced a series of historically themed single-action revolvers honoring notable lawmen and frontier figures. These Lawman Series Scouts were marketed as affordable Colt collectibles, often featuring distinctive finishes, special grips, and cased presentation, and they have since become a defined niche within Colt collecting.

A sharp, well-preserved Colt Lawman Series Frontier Scout—attractive, historically themed, and increasingly appreciated by Colt and single-action collectors.
