Browning Superposed Diana Grade 12 Gauge | Made 1972 | Kowalski Engraved
A desirable Belgian Browning Superposed Diana Grade 12 gauge, manufactured in 1972 and engraved by Kowalski. The combination of signed engraving, Diana Grade configuration, and excellent condition gives this gun particular appeal among collectors of higher-grade Belgian Superposed shotguns.
The gun is fitted with 28" vent rib barrels, marked Modified and Full (.018 and .036 constrictions) with 2 3/4" chambers—a classic all-around configuration for a Belgian Superposed.
Features include a single selective trigger, ejectors, field forearm, and the desirable flat-knob long-tang (FKLT) pistol grip stock, finished with a Browning recoil pad.
The gun remains in excellent condition with minimal handling, presenting as a carefully maintained example with strong overall condition to both the wood and metal finishes.
Weight is 7 lbs. 8 oz., with stock dimensions of 2 1/2" DAH, 1 9/16" DAC, and a generous 15" LOP.
The Diana Grade occupies an important position among Browning's hand-engraved Belgian Superposed guns, and the identity of the engraver is an important consideration for collectors. With its Kowalski engraving, FKLT configuration, 28" barrels, and excellent condition, this is a strong example of one of Browning's most recognizable high-grade Superposed models.
