Browning Midas Grade Superposed 12 Gauge Two-Barrel Set | Made for Abercrombie & Fitch | A. Dierckx Engraved | 1965
An exceptional Belgian Browning Midas Grade Superposed two-barrel set, manufactured in 1965 for Abercrombie & Fitch and double signed by engraver A. Dierckx. The combination of Midas Grade execution, documented retailer association, signed engraving, and two distinctly configured barrel sets gives this gun considerable appeal to the advanced Superposed collector.
The first set consists of 26 1/2" vent rib barrels, factory marked Skeet and Skeet and measuring .005 and .006 constrictions, with 2 3/4" chambers. This set gives the gun a quick-handling configuration ideally suited to skeet and close-range field shooting.
The second set features 30" vent rib barrels, marked Modified and Full and measuring .018 and .038 constrictions, also with 2 3/4" chambers. Together, the two barrel sets provide dramatically different capabilities while remaining fitted to the same high-grade Superposed action.
Features include a single selective trigger, ejectors, field forearm, desirable round-knob long-tang (RKLT) pistol grip, and Browning butt plate.
The gun remains in excellent condition, showing only very light handling from careful use and storage. The 26 1/2" configuration weighs 7 lbs. 6 oz., while the 30" barrels bring the gun to 7 lbs. 11 oz. Stock dimensions measure 2 1/4" DAH, 1 1/2" DAC, and 14 1/4" LOP.

Beyond the versatility of the two-barrel configuration, this gun has several details that elevate it above the typical Midas Grade: 1965 Belgian production, special manufacture for Abercrombie & Fitch, double-signed A.
