Baker Gun Co. R Grade 12 Gauge | 30" Damascus Barrels

A well-preserved Baker Gun Co. R Grade 12 gauge, retaining its original configuration and an especially attractive set of 30" 3-rod Damascus steel barrels.

The barrels are choked Improved Cylinder and Full (.007 and .032 constrictions) with 2 3/4" chambers, providing a useful combination while retaining the character of a traditional American Damascus-barreled double.

The gun is equipped with double triggers, extractor, splinter forearm, pistol grip stock, and butt plate—a straightforward configuration representative of Baker's classic sporting guns.

Of particular note is the gun's excellent original condition. It shows only light handling to the wood and metal finishes and presents as a carefully preserved example rather than a gun that has been restored or heavily altered.

Weight is 7 lbs. 2 oz., with stock dimensions of 3 1/16" DAH, 1 13/16" DAC, and 13 9/16" LOP.

The combination of R Grade configuration, original condition, and 3-rod Damascus barrels gives this Baker considerably more interest than a typical vintage field double.
