Baker Gun Co. Krupp (N) Grade 12 Gauge | 30" Krupp Steel Barrels

A higher-grade Baker Gun Co. Krupp (N) Grade 12 gauge, distinguished by its Krupp steel barrels and ejectors and offered in excellent condition since restoration.

The gun is fitted with 30" solid rib Krupp steel barrels, choked Modified and Full (.018 and .029 constrictions) with 2 3/4" chambers. Krupp steel was a premium barrel material of the period and is an important feature of this particular Baker grade.

Unlike many of Baker's more utilitarian doubles, this example is equipped with ejectors, along with double triggers, splinter forearm, pistol grip stock, and a leather-covered recoil pad.

The gun is in excellent condition since restoration, showing some light handling to the wood and metal finishes. The restoration presents the gun cleanly while retaining the traditional lines and character of the original Baker design.

Weight is 7 lbs. 11 oz., with stock dimensions of 2 5/16" DAH, 1 1/2" DAC, and 14 1/8" LOP.

With its Krupp steel barrels, ejectors, and higher-grade configuration, this is a step above the more commonly encountered Baker field guns and an interesting example for the collector of classic American doubles.
