AYA (AGUIRRE Y ARANZABAL) NO. 53 12 GAUGE

A well-executed Spanish sidelock built in the English tradition — AYA No. 53 12 Gauge, manufactured in 1983, combining classic best-gun features with the refined craftsmanship for which Aguirre y Aranzabal is known.

This example is fitted with 28" solid rib barrels choked Modified and Full (.024 / .041) with 2¾" chambers, a traditional configuration well suited for driven birds or upland shooting. The barrels are complemented by side clips and a third fastener, providing additional strength and refinement typical of higher-grade sidelock guns.

The action features removable sidelocks, double triggers, and ejectors, paired with a splinter forearm and straight English grip, maintaining the clean lines and balance of a classic British-style game gun. The stock terminates in a checkered butt, preserving the traditional appearance and feel.

Weighing 6 lbs 14 oz, the gun offers excellent balance with the 28" barrels. Stock dimensions measure 2½" drop at heel, 1½" drop at comb, with a 14½" length of pull, providing comfortable field proportions.

Condition remains excellent, showing only minimal handling from careful use and storage. The gun is presented in its case.
