A beautifully balanced bespoke Spanish sidelock, this Arrieta Wingshooters Light Game Gun 12 Gauge, completed in 1998, exemplifies Arrieta’s reputation for building true custom-ordered guns to individual specifications. Built on a scaled 12-gauge frame and intended as a fast, elegant field gun, it reflects the lightness and responsiveness Wingshooters was known for commissioning.
The gun features hand-detachable sidelocks, double triggers, and ejectors, paired with 27" swamped vent-rib barrels choked .001 and .008 with 2" chambers—an exceptionally lively, open-choke upland configuration. A splinter forearm, English grip, and butt plate complete the classic game-gun profile.
Weighing just 5 lbs 14 oz, the gun carries effortlessly and mounts with speed and precision. Dimensions measure 2½" DAH, 1 9/16" DAC, and 14¾" LOP. Condition is excellent, showing only very light handling to the wood and metal from careful storage and minimal use.
A true light game gun in the proper sense—hand-built, scaled correctly, and beautifully executed—ideal for the upland shooter who values balance, refinement, and traditional sidelock craftsmanship.
