This is a proper small-bore game gun, built with intention rather than excess.
The Armas Garbi Model 101 in 28 Gauge, made in 2000, reflects the Basque maker’s strength in producing light, traditionally proportioned doubles that favor handling over embellishment. With 28" solid rib barrels choked Light Modified and Improved Modified (.013/.019) and 2¾" chambers, the configuration leans toward smooth follow-through and pattern control rather than ultra-open shooting.
The layout is straightforward and classic: double triggers, ejectors, splinter forearm, English grip, and checkered butt, all scaled correctly to the 28-gauge frame. At 5 lbs 10 oz, the gun stays field-balanced, avoiding the whippy feel that can plague lighter sub-gauges while remaining effortless to carry.
Condition is great, showing light handling to the wood and metal from careful use and storage, with no distractions to overall presentation. Stock dimensions (2 3/16" DAH, 1 9/16" DAC, 14¾" LOP) support a natural mount and controlled swing.
A clean, honest Armas Garbi Model 101—built to shoot well, carry easily, and reward the kind of person who values proportion and handling over ornament.
