ABBIATICO & SALVINELLI ZEUSS 28 GAUGE 2 BARREL SET SABATTI ENGRAVED

A refined Italian best-quality small bore — Abbiatico & Salvinelli Zeuss 28 Gauge two-barrel set, elegantly engraved by Sabatti and housed in its makers case.

The Zeuss represents A&S’s London-inspired sidelock design, executed with the depth of finish and mechanical precision for which the firm is known. Sabatti’s engraving is confident and expressive, complementing the graceful scale of the 28 bore action without overpowering its refined proportions.

Both barrel sets measure 26 inches with solid ribs and 2¾" chambers, offering two distinct personalities in one gun. One set is choked .025 and .039, providing authoritative reach for longer crossers or driven shooting, while the second set, at .015 and .024, delivers a more versatile, open pattern suited to upland work and closer presentations. At just 5 pounds 6 ounces with either set installed, the gun remains exceptionally lively yet carries enough forward balance to avoid being whippy.

The configuration is properly traditional, with double triggers, ejectors, a splinter forearm, and a straight English grip terminating in a checkered butt. Stock dimensions measure 2 7/16" drop at heel and 1 5/8" drop at comb over a 14 5/16" length of pull, giving the gun a confident, slightly fuller profile while maintaining the elegant lines expected of a best 28 gauge.

Condition is excellent, showing only very light handling consistent with careful use and storage.

An exceptionally well-executed Italian best two-barrel 28 bore — combining fine engraving, mechanical excellence, and real field versatility in a beautifully balanced package.
