A classic Philadelphia-built Fox with desirable long barrels, this A.H. Fox Sterlingworth 12 Gauge, manufactured in 1926, represents the rugged, no-nonsense quality that made the Sterlingworth one of America’s most respected field guns.
This example is fitted with 30" solid rib barrels choked Modified and Full (.024/.044) with 2½" chambers, a configuration well suited for longer-range upland shooting and traditional game loads. It features double triggers, extractors, a splinter forearm, pistol grip stock, and a butt plate, retaining the clean, functional Fox layout.
Condition is very good, showing light handling from storage and use, with honest wood and metal throughout. Weighing 7 lbs 5 oz, with dimensions of 3" DAH, 1¾" DAC, and 14¼" LOP, it balances smoothly and carries the deliberate feel expected of a long-barreled Fox.
A solid, honest Philly Sterlingworth—well configured, correct, and increasingly appreciated by American double-gun enthusiasts.
