Elegant Browning 20 gauge Superlight O/U featuring exquisite flush gold inlaid birds in bulino scenes by Winston Churchill and stocked by the dean of American stockmakers, Jerry Fisher. Left side features a vignette of 3 gold inlaid ruffed grouse with a pine bough background while the right side depicts a trio of gold inlaid woodcock, all done in exquisite Churchill style of perfection. His signature is on the bottom right side of trigger. Other engraved features include a "No. 1" banner on the top lever along with a stylized serial number on the trigger guard tang as well as a very elegant pattern on the forearm cross bolt. All of this engraving is complimented by the beautiful stockwork of Jerry Fisher featuring a finely marbled European walnut straight grip buttstock with elegant leather covered pad. The stock and schnabel forearm feature beautiful point pattern checkering with mullered borders. Side panels have nicely detailed drop points. Blank gold oval is on the toeline. Metal work includes a reshaped top safety as well as a gold plated & reshaped Exhibition style trigger. This lovely shotgun is housed in a high quality oak & leather case with stitched leather corners and reddish suede interior. Features include french fitted ebony turnscrews, brass oil bottle, and snap caps.
